S&R Members Treat September 2016

I'm a bit excited about this snr members treat since this is my first time to join.
It is a 3day sale, according to ads they offer up to 50% discounts, buy1 take1 and a lot more!!

So here we go, after office hour on Sept29 friday, we are heading to snr Shaw and whoa! Ang pila abot hanggang gate! I didn't expect this, I thought during this time paubos na mga tao kasi almost 6PM na yun. So we started to line up at 5:40pm and we get in at around 7:30pm.

I really expect for the big bang! But to my dismay, yung mga buy1 take1 na mga items like tressemme conditioner, ubos na! Downy 4liters same price pa rin last week which P565. Pero may good deal din naman like Zip Dishwashing, it has P150 discount, from P379 naging P229 na lang so bumili ako ng tatlo. Hehe! Hoarding na to!

Ito pa, bumalik ulit kami on the 3rd day oct2, nagbabakasakali na konti na lng tao and marami na stock pagmorning. So umuwi na lng kami with empty handed at dumiretso sa AFP Commissary. Buti pa dun guaranteed low prices kasi walang tax. Hahaha!

All I can say is, don't expect too much!! K bye!

Albay Tour 3D2N DIY Itinerary with 2kids

Since it's a long weekend, we plan to visit Legazpi, Albay.
After office hours on a friday night, we go to Cubao Terminal with my husband & our 2 kids ( 4yrs old & 1 yr old). There are no available bus since it's a long weekend so we opted to choose Amihan Executive Bus with CR, fare cost Php950 each and our kids are free of charge. Travel time is 12hours. Tip: Book your ticket 1week before you travel.

DAY 1:
10:00 AM - We arrive at Legaspi City, Albay. Since we don't have any reservation in the hotel, we ride a tricycle to find one. We inquire at least 4 apartelles but it's too pricey. Luckily, on our 5th inquire, may nakuha na din.
10:30 AM - We check-in at Tanchuling Hotel. We choose this hotel since this is the only available and it's cheaper. Standard room is only Php850. The room is big and it's enough for us.
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM - We ride a jeepney loop1 heading to Albay Park & Wildlife fare is P9 only. Entrance for Park is P20 adult & P10 kids. The park is clean, there are dinosaurs that move and have sounds (though replica but if your a kid, you'll be amazed). There are also wild animals like tiger, wild pig, crocodile, birds, etc. My son ride a bicycle for P35/hour.

After park, we just walk going to Lignon Hill. It is just near at the park. Since i babywear my 1 year old daughter, i double my energy. Hehe! At the entrance of Lignon Hill, the guard offer us a ATV experience for only 1,500 for the 4 of us. So we glab it. He accompany us to the office & have short briefing/guidelines for the ride. And whoah!! The most awaited moment!
After ATV, we ride a 4x4 pick-up to go at the peak of Lignon Hill. The view is fantastic and breath taking! So after an hour of site seeing, we call it a day.

DAY 2:
Ride a jeepney loop2 going to Daraga Church, fare is P8. After visiting the old church, we plan to ride a jeepney going to Cagsawa but we don't have enough time to wait so we opted to ride a tricycle P50 for the 4 of us.

Cagsawa Ruins entrance fee is P10 for adult & kids. While we are busy taking pictures, Christian (tour guide) offer us his services, and it's a good deal actually. For P800, we can go to the 3 destination. We ride 2 motorcycles.

Sumlang Lake - Entrance fee is P10. Balsa is P25/adult & kids are free.

Hoyop-hoyopan Cave - Entrance with tour guide is P300.

Quitinday Greenhills - Entrance is P25 for adult.

Embarcadero de Legaspi

DAY 3:
We ride a tricycle going to Legazpi Boulevard, fare is P40. Since it's still 7:00 AM, there are people who do exercise & jogging. In here, you can see the Sleeping Lion (an island that looks like a lion on his belly).
After sight seeing, again we ride a tricycle going to Jollibee for breakfast. After we eat, we decided to go to Kawa-kawa Hill (a hill without a top!). We ride a jeepney going to Ligao, fare is P80. When we get off, we ride again a tricycle fare is P8 going to Kawa-kawa Hill.

Ito na, start na ng calvario. It's so tiring especially that I carry my 20months old daughter. But when you see the view at the top, it's all worth it.

After stisfying our eyes for the magistic view, we decided to go home & have our lunch. We ride a aircon bus going to Legazpi, fare is P80. We check-out in the hotel at 1:00 PM and have lunch at Gaisano Pacific.
We ride DLTB bus going to Manila at 3:00 PM. Fare is 810.

Breastmilk donation and Breastfeeding tips

Before I gave birth to our son, I really wanted to breastfed him. At first we bought Farlin Breast Pump at SM Megamall - Baby Company. It cost only P550.

After i gave birth, I immediately breastfed my son. At first, I felt depressed because there was no milk. I tried to pump but to no avail, I can only pump a few drops of my milk. I wanted to cry. But thanks God there were breastmilk at the Nursery.

After two weeks of constant lactating/pumping, my milk flows. It satisfy the needs of my newborn. I breastfeed my son every two hours or whenever he wanted.

On his 1st month, i felt really tired. Me and my husband don't have enough sleep, our baby was awake all throughout the night. I wanted to stop breastfeeding but my husband encouraged me to continue for the sake of our baby. So, I aim for a 3 months of purely breastfeeding.

Before I go back to work, my husband bought me another set of pump, it is an Avent Electric Breast Pump, it cost P6,500. I super love it, it makes my pumping session so much easier and I can pump more milk. When my baby was 3 months old, I aim again another 3 months. I pump in my office 3-4 times a day. I bring my expressed milk at home.

When my baby was 6 months old, I noticed that my milk overflows, so I started donating my breastmilk. I donated my expressed BM in the Nursery Section. There was a time that a mother approached me coz she needed breastmilk for his son who was confined to have late sepsis. I immediately gave my breastmilk since I still have lots of supply at home.

Before my baby reached 1 year old, everytime I woke-up in the morning, I can pump 10-12oz (360ml) of breastmilk. Over all, I can pump 30-35oz (appox 1,000ml) a day. That's why I donated my breastmilk that I expressed in the office. I bought milk bags through online but now I buy Playtex milk bags at any malls, it cost only P499. I also bought hand sealer to sealed the milk bags.

I met many moms who needs breastmilk for their premature babies. Sometimes, they replaced my milk bags everytime I gave them breastmilk. Other moms gave me some goodies as their appreciation.

Time flies so fast, my baby is now 16 months old and he is still purely breastmilk. Thanks God for this precious liquid gold. I gave my son rice, vegetables and a small piece of meat. At present, I donated my 12bags (approx 50-55oz) to a newborn baby boy who has a congenital defect.

I strongly recommend breastfeeding at least 6 months for your baby. Aside from saving money to buy formula, it is also good to your baby's health. It's the best gift that you can give to him since it is a product of love, patience and perseverance. No other expensive formula can replace mother's milk. It makes your child become healthier, smarter and have beautiful skin.

Wedding at Apo View Hotel, Davao City

It was a fine sunny afternoon around four o'clock last April 10, 2013 Wednesday in Davao City wherein we took our vow for the second time around in front of our family, friends and God above. But this time, it is already in the church at Sta. Ana Shrine Parish.

Since we already married in a civil wedding, we submitted our NSO Marriage Certificate. The rest of the requirements are still needed in church like Baptismal Certificate, Confirmation Certificate, Parish permit, Pre-Cana Seminar, etc.

We had only two months in preparing our church wedding. It was hard in our part since we both residing in Manila. But we're glad that we do it very well. We personally made our invitation and souvenirs. We also have photobooth from Facebooth Davao so that our guest will not be bored during cocktail.

In our reception, we choose Apo View Hotel since it was our dream hotel when we were still boyfriend-girlfriend. Dinner reception was at the Top of the Apo of Apo View Hotel so that our guests can view the whole area of Davao City. We got the Elegance Package which cost P665 per head, menu details are as follows 1 Soup, 3 Salad/Appetizers, 3 Main Courses, 1 Vegetable Dish, Steamed Rice, 3 Assorted Pastries and a Softdrink/Juice.

Our wedding florist and coordinator was Petals and Accent. They have a wedding packages depending on your preference. The head florist is Roel and the head coordinator is Erish. On the day of our wedding, their were 5 coordinators who will be assisting us from preparation up to the end of our reception program. One (1) coordinator is in-charge for the groom, he is Jay - he is also our wedding choreographer. The other three (3) are in-charge for the bride, I forgot their name sorry. And the last one (1) is Erish - he's the team lead, he was the one monitoring the whole event.

Our wedding cake was hand crafted by Ms. Gloria Alcantara, it is a 5 layer fondant cake. It's a chocolate moist flavor cake, and swear it was soo yummy.

Our official wedding photographer was Archie Pelago of Picturista. We got his wedding package cost P35k plus P3,500 for the Photo Teaser and P5k for the LCD and Widescreen. They're costly but swear their output is the best.

Our reception host was Mr. Brandy Fuentes - he was Dr. Love in Davao City. He's a very good host, he knows how to make the crowd alive, jolly and no dull moment. Together with him is his spinner.

Car theme: 1st Birthday of GP

I'm so excited for my son's 1st birthday, 6 months ago I already think of a theme for his birthday party. The first plan was Zoo Safari Theme but when we started to gathered birthday stuffs, we found it very hard to collect. So, we ended up with a Car Theme (Lightning McQueen) party.

After deciding a theme, we plan to have the party at Davao City since all our relatives were their and many children can attend. We choose Harana Restaurant at Torres St., Davao City for the venue because the place is child-friendly. And there is a playground outside the Function Hall. We reserve 80 guest for my son's birthday. In Harana if you ordered P15k above, the function room will be free.

We bought all the birthday stuffs like souvenir bags, lootbags, party hats, balloons, peƱata, banderitas, etc at Divisoria Mall in Manila. The 24pcs invitations costs P360 and the 4x5 Tarpaulin costs P750. We order his birthday cake from Ms. Gloria Alcantara. It has 8 inches mother cake and 30 pcs 3D cupcakes, it cost only P1,950 with free use of cupcake stand.

We ordered lechon at Podunas Lechon House in Panabo City, 38kg costs only P4,500. It's so yummy and crunchy. We bought the chocolate fountain machine at Divisoria Mall for P1,400 and we just bought Stick-o, Marsmallows and Bread sticks for the dippings.

For the party host, we just search it at the Internet. She is Joy, her talent fee is only P1,200 with unlimited hours of hosting and 12pcs balloon twisting. She prepared lots of funny games for children and adult. She wears Payaso costume. That's why children and adults enjoyed the games so much.

We prepared 30 souvenir bags with candies, chocolates, school supplies and toys inside for the children. And we're glad that its just enough for all of them who attended the party.

I can say that It was really a successful birthday party for my son and we're proud that we personally organized it with my husband. We know that it is hard to organized a party since we are miles apart from the venue.

Pregnancy and Giving Birth at CSMC

It was five (5) months after our wedding, i when I noticed that I'm delayed. I can't explained what I feel - happy, excited, afraid, mixed emotions. So, I bought immediately a Pregnancy Kit to check but on our dismay, the result was NEGATIVE!

After 2 weeks, I felt really different - I felt dizzy. So, again I bought a Pregnancy Kit and in our surprised it was POSITIVE! We immediately go to the nearest hospital to confirmed if it was really positive. This time we test it by blood (Serum) and it was confirmed, I'm Pregnant! I will be a Mom and Aaron will be a Dad.

In my 20 weeks, I scheduled for a Congenital Ultrasound to check if there was no anomaly and to know also what would be the gender of our baby. After my check-up, it was a baby BOY! My husband was so happy since he wanted to have a son as an eldest.

Time flies so fast and my tummy becomes bigger and heavier. Until I reached 39weeks, I consulted my OB coz I noticed that there were little red spot on my tummy. When she checked it, she told me that I have Varicella Infection (Chicken Pox). Ohhwahhh! For God sake why ME? I'm on my full term and I'm waiting for my baby to come out.

I was advised to have Sick Leave, my due was January 27, 2012. I don't have any medicine for my Chicken Pox, it's so itchy to the highest level and I can't sleep. I just drink lots of water. I research regarding effects of Chicken Pox on the New Born.

After ten (10) days, it was 12:01 AM of February 1, 2012 when I felt contraction every 30 minutes. I'm three (3) days overdue then so we went to Cardinal Santos Medical Center and proceed to delivery room.

I labor for 16 hours until I reached 10cm, it was a very painful experienced. I told my OB that I want Normal Delivery - Epidural (Painless). My half body was numb but I still felt the pain. I started pushed and pushed but my baby won't come out.

After three (3) hours, I told my OB that I don't think I can deliver my baby vaginally. So, she immediately called my husband and signed the waiver. I scheduled for a Low Transverse Ceasarian Section (LTCS) around seven o'clock in the evening. When my baby was out, he weights 9lbs and 2oz and his birth lenght was 54cm. Very big bouncy baby boy!

I was a little bit droggy then when I heared a tiny sweet sound - it was my baby crying! And as I talked to him, he kept quite. I stayed in the Recovery Room for three (3) hours together with my baby. We were in the Isolation Room since I have Varicella Infection.

I stayed at room 505 and after four (4) days, we were discharged at CSMC. We were so happy that our baby boy has no Varicella Infection. He is very healthy and chubby.
